Food has always fascinated me. Growing up, I was captivated by the incredible diversity of India’s culinary traditions. Every region has its own unique way of sourcing ingredients, blending spices, and transforming simple raw ingredients into unforgettable meals — traditions shaped by generations of culture, heritage, geography and lived experiences.
A Mutton Curry in Bengal carries flavours and techniques distinct from one cooked in Hyderabad. Across the country, food tells stories of communities, traditions and identities. It serves as a beautiful bridge between people and cultures. This deep appreciation for regional cuisines gave birth to a vision I call Chav Bhaari.

As I was growing up, I spent more and more time first with my grandmother and then my mother in the kitchen. My interest in food, food chemistry and cooking kept growing, and gradually I understood how some of the recipes and blends they made were incredibly unique — with history worth ages. Yet, despite its depth, Marathi cuisine has not received the global recognition it truly deserves.
Today, people across the world can easily find restaurants serving Punjabi, Gujarati or South Indian cuisine. However, Marathi cuisine, with all its diversity and flavour, often remains undiscovered beyond its homeland. Chav Bhaari was born from a desire to change that.
Our mission is simple yet ambitious: to introduce the authentic flavours of Maharashtra to kitchens across India and around the world. Through carefully crafted spice blends inspired by traditional Marathi recipes, we aim to make Marathi food more accessible, more recognizable, and more celebrated.
